In Fiction Tree Andy, Carrie and Rich all have singing duties. These tracks were all recorded individually and in many cases, especially for choruses, we double-tracked them to give more width and depth to the sound in the mix.
The vocals were recorded using a condenser mic and a reflection filter around the mic to stop the sound echoing around our slightly unsuitable home studio rooms and causing unwanted reflections.
The vocal parts also include quite a few harmonies so we ended up with 6-8 tracks in places just for vocals to mix, but we are pretty pleased with the results!
